The Framework

Five stages.One deliberate decision.

Most programs hand you a rulebook and a label. The Prepared Sobriety framework is a sequence of mental shifts, the same ones I moved through over six years, paced to your life rather than a generic curriculum.

  1. 01

    Imagination

You're quietly thinking about life without alcohol for the first time.

You're noticing how hangovers cost you, how alcohol affects your mood and your work, and you're starting to envision what life might look like differently.

  2. 02

    Identity Drift

Who you're becoming doesn't match who you meant to be.

You start noticing you're not at full capacity, your sleep is off, and your thinking isn't as sharp. What you're really protecting isn't the drinking. It's your identity as someone who has it under control.

  3. 03

    Compounding Friction

The costs stack up until you can't ignore them.

Weight gain, brain fog, irritability, inflammation, physical symptoms. The math stops working. You realize that if you want the life you actually want, sharp at work, present with family, healthy, you can't keep drinking.

  4. 04

    Decision Point

You've connected the dots. Alcohol is the common denominator.

You pick a specific date, a forcing function like surgery, a birthday, an anniversary, and you tell people. Accountability locks it in.

  5. 05

    Retirement

Day one isn't the finish line. It's the start of compounding in the other direction.

Weight drops, inflammation clears, brain fog lifts, and every day gets better. The positive compounding builds for years.

There's no fixed timeline. Yours is your own.

My path through these five stages took six years. That's my story, not a requirement. The people I work with arrive at every point on the map, some are weeks from a date they've quietly already chosen, some are months out, others are a year or two away and still making sense of it. The framework meets you where you are and moves at the pace your life and your certainty allow.

Not sure where you land? The stage assessment takes about sixty seconds and points you to exactly where you are in the framework.

Find your stage

Wherever you are in the framework, that's where we start.

No intake forms. No labels. Just a private conversation about where you are and where you want to go.
